Aston Villa want Everton man to return to the club
Aston Villa are looking to go head to head with Newcastle United with a view to signing former midfielder Tom Cleverley on loan according to the Telegraph.
The midfielder was on loan at Aston Villa from Manchester United for one season in 2014 and enjoyed a return to form.
Cleverley has seen himself frozen out of a first team start at Goodison Park as Ronald Koeman looks to bring in his own players.
The 27 year old signed on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2015, but looks destined to leave the club in January on loan.
Has Cleverley been a good signing for Everton?

As a villa fan I’d love to see Clev back. We might make play-offs if we can pair him and Henri Lansbury. If you aren’t going to play him it makes sense for all parties. I’d prefer GB back though. Want to help us out haha?
Tom Cleverly back at Villa? Not on your nelly, even in the championship football is played up and down the pitch, if it changes to side to side we might think again.
