£20m looks to be the fee for Everton to sell Baines
Everton have set the price at £20m for star player Leighton Baines is Manchester United want the left-back in January according to the Manchester Evening News.
Former Everton boss David Moyes tried to land the player in the summer with failed bids of £10m, £12m and a joint bid of £40m which included Marouane Fellaini – The big Belgian eventually went for £28.5m.
Baines turns 29 soon, but it is thought that he is still very high on David Moyes radar as he tries to put his stamp on the Manchester Club.
It is believed that Everton manager Roberto Martinez wants to keep Leighton Baines, but a £20m bid may force his hand and there has been reported interest in Swansea City defender Ben Davies aswell as Ipswich left-back Aaron Creswell.
