Crystal Palace’s Yannick Bolasie, 27, will sign for Everton next week after a £25m deal, potentially rising to £30m, was agreed with Bolasie’s current club on the eve of the 2016/17 Premier League season.
Manager Ronald Koeman has been a long time admirer of Bolasie, known for his pace, and will be keen to add him to the Everton squad to fill the left wing slot. A deal was thought to have been agreed in principle several days ago though has been delayed whilst Palace seek out squad replacements with Palace manager Pardew being keen to sign Christian Benteke.
The signing will signal the fourth foray into the transfer market by Koeman after the signings of Maarten Stekelenburg, Idrissa Gueye and Ashley Williams. Everton have also been heavily linked with Sunderland’s Lamine Kone, who was on Merseyside last week, and are thought to have bid £18m for the Ivory Coast international. Everton have also been linked with a move for Valencia’s Tunisian international Aymen Abdennour.
Will Bolasie be a good signing for Everton?
