5 strikers Everton could target to replace Lukaku

Everton are in the hunt for strikers this season and if they are priced out of a move for Romelu Lukaku then they will have to look further afield to source a bargain.  We look at 5 strikers that could come in to the club and score goals and potentially be available for less than £10m.

Oscar Cardozo

Everton have scouted Cardozo this season and it is thought that the big Paraguayan is finally set to leave Benfica, the club he joined in 2007.  He has scored 113 goals in 174 games for the club and has long been linked with a move to Goodison Park.  31 year old Cardozo wouldn’t command a big fee and is on relatively low wages in Portugal.

Michy Batshuayi

The 20 year old has been in sensational form this season and that has prompted a £7m move from Swansea City.  The tall striker has been delaying this move and is thought to favour a move to Arsenal although Roberto Martinez has long let the player know of his interest and a move in January was fairly close before the Standard Liege president Kyboshed the deal.  Michy has scored 37 goals in 90 games for the Belgians.

Loic Remy

The Queens Park Rangers striker is likely to leave the club with Arsenal the likely destination, but Everton are still being linked with the French striker.  The 27 year old has a release clause at around the £8m mark and scored 14 goals in 26 games while on loan at Newcastle United last season.  He would be a relatively cheap proven goalscorer for any premier league team.

Lorenzo Insigne

One that would interest Evertonians could be Lorenzo Insigne.  The 22 year old striker has had to rotate a lot this season and only started 25 games in Serie A this season with lots of competition for places.  The Italy international still managed 11 goals in all competitions last season, but may see his future away from Napoli to further his career.

Alfred Finnbogason

The 25 year old Iceland international is likely to leave Holland this season after scoring a hatful for SC Heerenveen.  He became the clubs all time leading scorer this season and is ready to test himself at a higher level and may see the Premier League as the challenge he wants.  Finnbogason has scored 53 goals in 65 appearances for the Dutch club.
