Sigurdsson doesn’t travel to USA. £40m Deal to Everton this week
Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson hasn’t travelled with the Swansea squad to the USA today having played against Barnet in a friendly lastnight as he didn’t feel in the right frame of mind following uncertainty about his future.
The 27 year old midfielder is now the subject of a £40m bid from Everton and a deal could be completed this week.
The Telegraph reports that the Iceland international is Evertons top transfer target this summer and Ronald Koeman now looks set to land his man.
The signing of Sigurdsson adds further uncertainty to the future of Ross Barkley, who seems set to leave the club having now travelled to Tanzania with the rest of the team. The club say he has suffered a groin injury.
Does £40m for Sigurdsson represent good value?
