Everton strikers link up play was excellent beams the boss
Everton manager Roberto Martinez was full of praise for veteran striker Samuel Eto’o who produced an outstanding performance to score 2 goals against Burnley at Turf Moor.
The 33 year old legend could have had a hat-trick but hot the bar with a late effort, but Martinez says it was his all round play and not his goals that impressed him the most.
“Everyone will talk about his goals and his finishes, and rightly so. As a manager, I was more pleased with his overall contribution.
“His link-up play was excellent and his defensive work was also very good. To be able to play two 90 minutes in a few days shows the way he looks after himself. What an incredible professional to have in our young squad and I was immensely proud of his display.”
