    Aiden McGeady undergoing Sunderland medical today

    Everton winger Aiden McGeady has sorted out his contractual hurdles with Everton and is set to sign for Sunderland in the next couple of days according to SkySports Keith Downie.

    The Republic of Ireland international is undergoing a medical in the North East today alongside former Everton player James Vaughan.

    Everton 2 as Sunderland are starting to become known have signed a number of Everton players in recent seasons including Bryan Ovideo, Steven Pienaar and Darron Gibson and more recently signed Brendan Galloway and Tyias Browning on loan.

    McGeady played under new Sunderland manager Simon Grayson last season at Preston North End.
