    Arouna Kone linked with Everton exit

    Unfortunate Everton striker Arouna Kone is being linked with a move back to former club Levante in January if he can prove his fitness to the Spanish club.

    The Daily Mirror is linking the Ivory Coast striker with a link back to the club he was with before he joined Wigan Athletic.

    The striker turns 31 tomorrow and has made just 5 league appearances for the club since his £5m move in 2013 after he got a serious knee ligament injury from which he is yet to fully return.

    It would be a desperate shame for the striker who is keen to prove himself, despite a luckless start, but the striker is also determined to get back playing again and a move to Spain may be his best option with places at Goodison Park hard to come by.
