Barkley: It’s worth going through the hard spells to get the good spells
Everton midfielder Ross Barkley is loving life at the moment and enjoying working under Ronald Koeman. The midfielder revealed that the whole squad are loving their football at the minute.
Barkley, who has been subject of a lot of press criticism, also revealed that it is worth going through the bad times as there will always be good times at the end of it.
“That just showed how much I’m enjoying it at the minute,” Barkley exclusively told evertontv. “And that’s the same with all of the lads as well.
“The goal was in the last minute – and it’s something you do as a kid. I was through and knew I wasn’t missing, so I celebrated before I scored. It was just on the spur of the moment, I thought about doing it straight away.
“It’s what every footballer wants to do – enjoy it [playing]. Sometimes you go through the hard spells but it’s worth it in the end because you get the good days ahead.”
Should Everton focus on getting Barkley to sign a new contract before the end of the season?
