PORTUGUESE giants Benfica are weighing up a bid for Everton target Luca Marrone who looks set to leave Juventus this summer according to the Star
The 23-year-old has been identified as a key target by Toffees manager Roberto Martinez as he looks to add depth to his squad.
However according to reports in Italy, Benfica are lining up a bid to tempt Marrone, valued at £8m, to the Estádio da Luz.
The Italian under-21 international has seen his first-team opportunities at Juventus limited after the emergence of former Manchester United mdifielder Paul Pogba, who is attracting the interest of Arsenal.
Despite Marrone only making 10 league starts for the Bianconeri last season, Martinez is keen not to lose out to Benfica in the race for his signature.
The 40-year-old’s interest has risen in the last few days as the future of Marouane Fellaini remains uncertain with Manchester United planning another double bid to sign the Belgian and Leighton Baines.
