DCL sets himself a new aim
Dominic Calvert-Lewin believes that his aims have now changed following his ankle injury against Southampton. The youngster had just forced his way into the first team before the injury occurred.
DCL now believes the aim has to be to try and regain a spot in the first team before the end of the season and he is working hard to get back there.
“The goalposts have changed a little bit from what they might have been,” the teenager said when quizzed on his targets for the remainder of the campaign. “I have to focus on getting back fit and restoring my match fitness.
“The aim is to get back on the training pitch and see how I kick on from there. My goal is to get back into the first team before the end of the season. It’s got to be that really.”
Can DCL get back in the first team?
