Sylvain Distin says the signs are evident that the Blues can enjoy success with a new style of play.
A second draw in as many games served to frustrate Roberto Martinez’s side, who again dominated possession and created the vast majority of chances against West Brom on Saturday.
A change in approach under the new manager was noticeable in pre-season and the Blues have commenced their Premier League campaign arguably unfortunate not to have more to show for their opening efforts.
But defender Distin says the squad are adjusting well to Martinez’s tactics and believes three points are not far away.
“We are in the stage at the moment where we are trying to adapt to the new style of play and I think we are doing quite well,” explained the Frenchman.
“There are some really good signs but we are still waiting for our first win.
“It could and should have been better [against West Brom], but they did everything to frustrate us. We had one or two chances to finish it, but that’s football.
“In the second half, we played much better compared to the first where we found it a little difficult to play our football. By our movement, we created more and every moment, every pass is important.”
