Distin signs new contract extension
Everton veteran Sylvain Distin has put pen to paper on a new contract extension that will see his contract extended until the summer of 2015.
The 36 year old has been a key part in the Everton defence once again this season, partnering captain Phil Jagielka. The Frenchman has played 177 games for the toffees and was the first foreign outfield player to reach 400 games in the Premier League.
Distin’s contract was due to run out in July and he becomes the second Everton player to sign a new contract after Leighton Baines signed a new four year contract on Monday.
