    Everton £38.4m bid for Chelsea target

    Everton are set to hit the transfer market with a bang with a £38.4m bid for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly according to reports in Italy.

    The Express is running with the story in the UK and they say that the toffees are set to smash their transfer record with a huge bid for the 25 year old defender.

    Koulibaly is rated as one of the best centre-backs in Europe and has been coveted by some of the best teams in the world, but Everton could be set to jump to the front of the queue.

    Chelsea have already bid £34m for the defender, but Napoli are holding out for their asking fee and Everton are willing to pay this according to reports.
