Everton and Arsenal had scouts at Sheffield United’s Under 21 game against Crewe Alexandra on Monday to watch Italy under 18 player Diego de Girolamo according to the Daily Mail
De Girolamo was an unused substitute in Sundays 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane with Fulham in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Born in Chesterfield, De Giralamo qualifies for Italy through his father and has made 6 appearances for Italy under 18’s scoring 3 times. He has made 2 appearances for the first team at Sheffield United and still qualifies to play for England.
The 18 year old Blades prodigy has just returned from a cruciate knee injury.
Diego turned down Manchester United and Manchester City when he signed his deal with Sheffield United.
