Everton have announced that the 2013/14 home and away shirts are now available in selected JD Sports stores.
This season’s offerings, the royal blue home jersey a with white collar and white hoops on the sleeves and the striking sunshine yellow and blue away strip, have proven popular since going on sale this summer and now, to make the shirts more widely available to Evertonians, they will go on sale in Liverpool, Manchester and London branches of the high-street sportswear firm.
The shirts are currently available online atevertondirect.com and in store at Everton One, Everton Two and Nike Liverpool but the stock in JD Sports stores will widen the availability to supporters in the North West and London.
Commercial Director Dave Biggar said: “One of our commitments as a Club is to become easy to buy from and to improve the buying experience of our supporters.
“This partnership with JD Sports is a perfect example of us finding ways of selling more efficiently to our fanbase and hopefully we’ll see plenty more Evertonians proudly wearing their colours because of the increased accessibility to the new home and away shirts.”
So ….. the penny has finally dropped, somebody has woken up !!! fantastic …. you can now buy an Everton shirt somewhere other than the phone-box sized Everton 2 store (one changing room says it all).
At this rate, in another 20 years we may have caught up with everyone else.
Ever walked through the ever-expanding Liverpool Airport ? ….. everywhere is Liverpool FC stuff !!! …. shirts, mugs, calendars, key-rings, anything you can think of.
Here’s a better idea, ring up the bloke who’s in charge of Liverpool’s Commercial Dept and offer him a job.
You are right Steve.. except OUR fans don’t fly in from Norway do they?
“selected JD Sports stores.” – that is great in theory but after shopping around – how exactly is “selected” defined. I am totally with the Steve – from Formby – reading between the lines, commercially we are shite.
