    Everton approach Monchi as Director of Football

    Everton have made an audacious move for one of the most highly regarded sporting directors in world football as they look towards Sevilla’s Monchi.

    According to the telegraph Everton will move for the 47 year old former goalkeeper, although a move to Manchester United looks more likely after the Spaniard requested to leave Sevilla.

    Monchi is seen as one of the best in his role across Europe and has overseen a number of brilliant acquisitions for the La Liga club which has helped them make £152m profit while still winning 9 trophies including the last 3 Europa League titles.

    Marc Overmars has also been linked with the role as the club look to overhaul their current management structure.
