Everton are keeping tabs on Olympique Lyonnais defender and Croatian international Dejan Lovren.
The Toffees are on the lookout for a new central defender to add to their ranks in the summer and have been making eyes at the Croatia international according to Calcio Mercato.
Lovren is highly rated at the Stade Gerland, but Lyon have been offloading talents to cut costs as the building of a new stadium takes priority.
Lyon have already let players such as: Hugo Lloris, Aly Cissoko, Kim Kallstrom and Michel Bastos leave the French side and Lovren plus others look set to follow.
This has prompted Everton, who could well make an offer for the 23-year-old.
The Toffees are not the only club keen on Lovren, with Barcelona and Liverpool having been linked with the player over the last 12 months.
Lovren joined Lyon in 2010 and has since established himself as an indispensable member of the club’s defence. He has also amassed 16 caps for Croatia at international.
