Everton bid for current World Cup top scorer?
According to reports in todays paper Everton are interested in the current top scorer at the 2014 World Cup Enner Valencia of Ecuador.
The Daily Express confirms that his current club Pachuca have received bids and the report in the Express says that Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are all interested in one of the stand out players at this years tournament.
The 25 year old has scored 18 goals in 23 games for Pachuca since joining in January and the player himself is said to be open to a move to Europe.
Pachuca vice president Andres Vassi told Mexican ESPN: “Enner Valencia’s value increases every day. We don’t know if he will stay, it will be hard given the offers we have received.
“The options that a great player at this level gets are to be taken into account. But for now he has to keep doing things right.
“No doubt it would hurt us to let Enner Valencia go, but we are realistic about his quality.”
