Everton bid for Nigerian powerhouse Eddy Onazi
Everton have submitted a bid for Lazio midfielder Onyegi “Eddy” Onazi according to Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport.
It is unclear how much Everton have bid for the powerful Nigerian, but president Claudio Lotito has gone on record to say that the player will not be leaving for a fee of less than €9m.
Everton were linked with Onazi throughout 2013 and a cash move would seem strange now as they are desperately in need of a new striker. Rumours across the internet seem to be certain that Lacina Traore has joined on a loan deal but the blues are still short upfront.
Onazi has played 16 games this season in Serie A and has 2 assists and he has played 18 times for Nigeria scoring 1 goal.
The player has also been linked with rivals Liverpool.
Would you be happy with a move for Onazi or do you think we need to strengthen upfront? Have your say at www.theevertonforum.com
I hope not.Every time we sign an African player it guarantees that they will be missing for their plastic cup of nations.
you’re a fool for making such a stupid comment, calling the AFCON a rubber cup. Idiot…
Every good player want to advance on his or her carrier, but one has to assartten the kind of deal you put your pen on. The important point here is the position you are going for and how reguller will u be on the team list, with that I thing is a good deal.
