Everton, Celtic and Arsenal battle for title winning midfielder
Everton, Celtic, Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Hull are set for a transfer battle for Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim according to the Daily Mail.
Everton have long been linked with the Norway international and stories emerged over the last 2 transfer windows of their interest. Ibrahim has spent the season on loan at Norwegian club Stromgodset helping them win the Norwegian title, but the 22 year old has been told he can find a new club by Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
Ibrahim can leave on a free transfer if he finds a suitable club and his first choice would be to stay in England, but he has not ruled out extending his stay in Norway, he said: ‘Yes, why not. Everything is possible. I’ve come here, so one more year does not hurt.
‘Right now I’m not thinking about it. It still has not quite sunk in that we have won the league title. Now it will be good to take a vacation and enjoy ourselves.’
Ibrahim’s contract runs out at the end of the season.
