    Everton chasing Brazilian midfielder with Barcelona linked

    Everton are interested in signing Brazilian midfielder Lucas Lima according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

    The 26 year old Santos midfielder was reportedly wanted at Barca by compatriot Neymar, but according to the article in Mundo, Barca isn’t an option for the player at present but a move to Europe could be on the cards.

    Lima is out of contract in December and could be available at a cut price cost and can sign on a free transfer in January if he signs a pre-contract agreement this summer.

    Limas father recently said: “We have a very good proposal for renewal on the part of Santos, but his dream is to play in Europe .”

    Lima, who has been capped 14 times by Brazil, has also been linked with Real Madrid, Fenebahce and Bayern Munich.
