Everton chasing La Liga youngster
Everton manager Roberto Martinez is chasing 21 year old Valencia midfielder Carles Gil, who is on loan at Elche according to Super Deporte.
The Spanish midfield maestro is wanted by the Everton chief and it is thought that he is willing to trigger Gil’s release clause of €8m to get the talented youngster.
The midfielder had attracted the interest of Manchester City and QPR amongst others but is thought to want to break into the Valencia first team having spent the last 2 seasons at Elche.
Gil is regarded as one of the best young players in La Liga and the Spanish club won’t want to lose the prospect but the lure and money of the Premier League may prove hard to resist and Martinez may get his man.
Gil has played 23 times this year scoring once.
