    Everton chasing Steven Defour transfer

    Everton manager Roberto Martinez is looking towards the signing of Belgian midfielder Steven Defour according to press reports in Belgium according to the Echo.

    The 27 year old Anderlecht midfielder was once rated as one of the best prospects in Europe but his career stalled before a move back to his homeland.

    Everton scouts were in attendance at the recent Anderlecht game against Club Bruge and Borussia Dortmund, Werder Bremen and Marseille were also present to watch the combative midfielder in action.

    Defour has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season scoring 6 goals in the process.
