Everton hold Batshuayi talks but deal hits complications
Everton have held talks with Standard Liege over the signing of star striker Michy Batshuayi according to the Mirror, but the deal has hit further complications over the way the fee is paid with Liege wanting to keep the striker until the summer.
According to the report, Liege are upset that Everton found out about the young Belgian attackers release clause and they have told Everton that they must pay the full amount upfront if they want to sign the 20 year old.
Tensions have been strained between Liege and Batshuayi’s agent Christophe Hentoray (Who also advises a number of other players at Goodison Park) and the player is determined to have the move to the Premier League club.
Arsenal have also been interested in the powerful Belgian, but it looks like Roberto Martinez is taking steps closer to securing his man.
