    Everton interested in £60m Van Dijk move

    Everton manager Ronald Koeman is still interested in signing his former player Virgil Van Dijk according to the Daily Star Sunday.

    The 26 year old grew up as a close friend to the Koemans while at Groningen and also played for him while at Southampton.

    Koeman made a failed move for Van Dijk in January and is still interested in the defender, although Van Dijk may prefer to move to a club with Champions League football.

    Liverpool are favourites to sign Van Dijk, despite risking falling into trouble with the FA over a potential illegal approach, they agreed not to continue chasing the defender for fear of risking an FA ban.

    1. I would love to see van Dijk at Goodison for 2 reasons. 1) he is the best defender in the Premiership bar none. 2) It would really pi33 on the RS bonfire!
