    Everton interested in signing £10m Belgium International defender

    Everton have been scouting Belgium international centre-back Nicolas Lombaerts with a view to a transfer according to the Daily Star.

    The Zenit St Petersburg defender is valued at £10m by club officials as they optimistically look to sell the 30 year old centre-back.

    Galatasaray and Valencia have also shown an interest in Lombaerts, but Everton sent scouts to the recent international friendly against Wales to keep an eye on the player.

    The former Genk defender played 39 times for club and country last season.
