    Everton keeping tabs on young Anderlecht defender

    One of the most reliable journalists on twitter has confirmed that Everton have been keeping a scouting eye on Cheikhou Kouyate in recent matches.

    It is thought that the Blues’ scouts will be joined by other Premier League teams West Brom and West Ham, however it would appear that Everton are the front runners for his signing.

    The Senegalese born man is mainly a defender but can be deployed in the defensive midfield role, as he continues the Belgian league tradition of defenders that can play out from the back, seen in now Premier League players Thomas Vermaelen, Jan Vertonghen and Vincent Kompany.
