    Everton linked to Barcelona wonder kid

    Everton are being tenuously linked with Barcelona wonder kid Carles Alena in the Daily Mirror, but the Spaniard could be set to join Tottenham Hotspur.

    19 year old midfielder Alena, is rated as one of the best talents to come off the La Masia production line for some time and is refusing to sign a new deal at the Catalans.

    Alena’s current deal has a release clause of just €3million (£2.6million). After July 1 that figure increases to £10.5million.  He has 12 months remaining on his current contract.

    Alena played 4 times for the first team last season and is also on Rafa Benitez radar at Newcastle United.
