As we reported nearly a month ago, Everton are said to be interested in Algerian international winger, Nabil Ghilas.
Since then, more clubs have come into the battle with Everton and Marseille. Premier League team West Brom have shown high interest as of late and now clubs; Sporting, St Etienne and Sporting Braga are also said to be interested.
Ghilas’ older brother Kamel, who played for Hull City in the Premier League a few years ago, said: “Nabil is powerful, technically and physically. He can play centre forward in England. It also depends on the coach, if they count on you or not. This is also why you should never give up and to work.”
Ghilas has scored 12 top flight goals in Portugal this season, breaking a club goalscoring record for Moreirense, who are battling against relegation. He was called up to Algeria’s squad for the first time in March but will not need a work permit as he has a French passport.
In the last link, the Algerian was reported to say:
“There is interest from clubs but I will decide at the end of the season.
“Everton? I have heard about that in the papers. They are a very good team and a big club so it is flattering. Let’s wait and see if it is real interest at the end of the season.
“Marseille would also be fantastic but let’s wait and see.”
