Everton linked with Manchester United midfielder as part of Baines deal
Everton are being linked with a move for Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell as part of any deal that is being mooted for Leighton Baines.
19 year old Powell is currently on loan at championship club Wigan Athletic and former Wigan man Roberto Martinez is rumoured to be keen to bring in the talented former Crewe man according to Sports Direct News
Powell has been impressing Latics fans with a string of strong performances including appearances in the Europa League where he has scored 3 goals this season and Martinez will look to include him in any deal for Everton left-back Leighton Baines. Powell has scored 2 goals in the league so far this season after making 9 appearances.
Baines will again be tapped up by Manchester United in a deal that will be worth around £18m and former boss David Moyes will look to move in the January transfer window.
If Leighton Baines does go, do you think Powell would be a good signing? Have your say at www.theevertonforum.com
Much as the 29year old Baines is a fantastic player,19 year old Nick Powell is a fantastic prospect at Old Trafford and great things are expected of him. David Moyes isn’t that desperate to sign Baines but I would gladly swop Fellaini for him.
swap fellani
@ Bob your right it will never happen . Ashley young maybe ! Afraid we are stuck with Fellani . Ive no problem with Baines but at the money mooted there are younger players available . Think the Chile game underlined that .
