    Everton make offer for Tunisian

    Everton have sent a proposal for Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour according to Spanish news outlet AS.

    The 27 year old Tunisian prefers a move back to France though after his time with AS Monaco a few seasons ago.

    Marseille and Lyon are interested in signing the 6ft 1 centre back and Newcastle are also said to be ready to bid for the player who looks to be on his way out of the Spanish club.

    Everton are on the look-out for extra reinforcements in defence to help replace an ageing backline with the possibility of Phil Jagielka moving on this summer, with Sheffield United interested in resigning their former player.
