Everton move for Julian Draxler
Everton have made a move for Germany star Julian Draxler according to a report in the Independent.
The 22 year old confirmed that he wanted to leave Wolfsburg this week but Everton have made the first move according to the report, contacting Wolfsburg with an expression of interest.
Draxler has been outspoken in the German media trying to force a move out of the club and could command a fee as high as £65m.
“I have expressed myself clearly to [coach] Dieter Hecking that after the Euros I want to leave Wolfsburg,” Draxler said.
“We had a verbal agreement when I joined in August 2015 that I could leave the club if the possibility arose. It was always clear between all parties that I would like to go to a top international club if the chance came.”
Arsenal are still favourites to sign the attacker.
Could Draxler possibly sign for Everton?
