Everton must sign defender before Aug 5th to get £6.2m price
Everton have identified Anderlecht defender Kara Mbodji as a defensive option, but must sign the centre back before August the 5th if they want to get him for £6.2m according to the Daily Mail.
The 6ft 3 Senegalese international is the first name on the team sheet according to his national team manager and has a clause in his contract that allows him to move to a Premier League team for a lower rate according to the report.
Mbodji is a powerful, quick defender and is one of a number of targets identified by Ronald Koeman as defensive cover. Lamine Kone, Kalidou Koulibaly and Bruno Martins Indi have already been linked with the toffees.
John Stones could be set to leave Goodison Park for Manchester City should City meet the Everton valuation.
Would Mbodji be a good signing for Everton?
