Everton – On the Verge of Greatness
Where to start.. There are so many positives around our season so far, i find it difficult to put into words. Ive often imagined what it was like for the fans back in 84 as Kendall’s wonderful team was about to dominate English football,i now have a sense of what that felt like,there is an unstoppable momentum behind our club under the guidance of the heaven sent Roberto Martinez
After listening to the Followtonians podcast,”The Martinez Interview” i felt compelled to write again, What Martinez is bringing to the job is limitless enthusiasm,constant positivity and a clear blueprint for success,He speaks with charm and determination in equal measure
His knowledge of the game is frightening,the detail in his work and preparation is immaculate and with his thrilling love for our history,Roberto was simply born to manage Everton Football Club

Behind his smile lies a ferocity in his approach,i believe we have a manager who will go down in history as our greatest manager,this admittedly does sound over the top but such is the momentum we are building this season,going into every game believing we can win with the players encouraged to express themselves,The sky seems the only limit to what we can achieve under Roberto Martinez.
Evertonians everyday are being told how great our club is by a manager who has took in every inch of our success over the course of history and wants to emulate it, he has awoken us to the mental restrictions placed on our club by the previous manager,took down the temporary glass ceiling installed and pointed to the sky as the limit of our ambitions.
Martinez inviting Kendall was a fantastic touch and for me marked a desire to return to the days when we were Europe’s best club side,It really does mean the world to me that Martinez has embraced our history the way he has
The buzz around the club is enough to lift Goodison park off its foundations,i believe this team will only get better, If you cant play well in an environment based on positivity and expression,then there is something wrong
Even we lose there is room for positivity,the defeat to Sunderland was probably more beneficial to us than it was to Sunderland, Martinez an innovative manager will use that defeat to our advantage in our remaining games this season i believe
The club are doing wonderful things presently,The appointment of Alan Myers to director of communications has been nothing short of a masterstroke,combined with our results on the pitch,Alan has interacted consistently with fans and with no less than enthusiasm than Martinez,he has contributed hugely to the feelgood factor around Everton at the moment.

Matchday really has felt like Christmas day this season,this team has got us all going,nothing but positivity from the manager down to fans interactions on twitter,Evertonians are the best and there is nothing better than seeing everyone immersed in positivity
The media have barely acknowledged this season and when they do,it is only in an attempt to move our best on,while this has grated with me we have to smile at this,we have not only rocked the boat but the journos are now openly panicking at the thought of us getting in the top 4 this season,the media agenda has been consistent and unrelenting,I think we can safely assume we have arrived
Martinez has talked about winning titles already and why not,we have a winning formula,we have the players here admittedly who need a few more to help them out,aside from this,there isn’t a club in the land that were afraid of,the football we are playing is Holy trinity esque but what has impressed me more than anything is the control of games we have enjoyed,even when playing poorly,the system employed allows us to grow into a game and pinch results if need be,no team has got away from us this season save city at the Etihad,no shame whatsoever in this season
We have a plan and a manager who is determined to take us back to the very top,feels like we’ve all been strapped into a ride,fast taking us to our destiny of winning trophies and dominating English football once more

Roberto has left a space on the wall at finch farm,i don’t think it will be to long before that gap is filled
