Everton scouts watch Monaco striker Emmanuel Riviere
Everton had scouts in attendance at last nights Ligue 1 match between Montpellier and Monaco with the purpose of watching Monaco striker Emmanuel Riviere according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez is in the hunt for a new striker after agreeing a deal with Hull City lastnight for Croatian striker Nikica Jelavic and Riviere is one possibility for the blues.
23 year old Riviere can play as a winger or a striker and has been in good form for Monaco in the absence of key players scoring 8 goals in 11 starts for the mega rich club. Riviere was deputising while star striker Falcao was injured and performed really well.
Everton are also interested in Lyons Alexandre Lacazette but have seen an enquiry rebuffed alongside Arsenal.
There have also been strong rumours on The Everton Forum that Michy Batshuayi is 100% on the Everton radar by a forum ITK that announced that Hull City were interested in Jelavic before it was announced.
Who would you like to see replace Jelavic? Have your say at www.theevertonforum.com
Messi
Ronaldo
In Martinez we trust, but Batshuayi looks a player. Alexandre Lacazette has obvious potential and bundles of pace, but looks a little one footed at times, he has scored with his left and from outside the box but leans heavily on the right. Having said all that, Martinez knows best.
Danny Ings from Burnley (don’t laugh he is shit hot)
