    Everton set to begin transfer talks for key midfielder

    Everton are set to begin transfer talks for Dutch midfield Davy Klaassen according to reports in the Netherlands and UK.

    The Ajax midfielder is keen to join the Premier League this summer and after winning the Dutch player of the year in 2015/16 the player looks set to leave Holland in the next few weeks.

    Everton manager Ronald Koeman is keen to sign his compatriot and has visited the Ajax Arena a number of times over the last year to keep an eye on the number 10.

    Klaassen would see a huge increase on his current €20,000 per week wage if he was to join the blues and reports are saying that a fee of around £26m would secure his services.

    Klaassen is set to follow Sandro Ramirez to Goodison Park with the Spaniard travelling to Merseyside over the weekend for talks.
