Everton set for £8m raid on Celtic star
Everton are set to test the resolve of managerless Celtic with a raid on midfielder James Forrest according to the Metro.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez is thought to be a big admirer of the skilful winger and according to the article could be about to open the bidding at around £8m.
Forrest has had an injury hit season but is thought to be one of the best prospects to come out of Celtic for a while and was rated as one of the youngsters that would make it by former Celt Aiden McGeady.
The 22 year old has played 88 times for Celtic scoring 18 goals in the process.

If this is true I’ll drive the perma-injured Forrest down to Liverpool…Free of charge…
He is probably my favourite player, but he is injury prone. However if he is fit he usually plays. Not as skilful as McGeady but quicker and more direct. His major failing is he is always looking for a foul when he is slightly blocked or obstructed.
Receives a lot of criticism from other fans who say he drifts out of the game too easily.
Forrest would be a sensation in the EPL

Hold your horses! Who is the pitout that put out this price tag on him? We already have better prospects at Finch Farm and with more to come, who’ll be given their heads in a season or two by RM. We need character, experience and aggression added right now with the likes of Colback, Snodgrass, and Sidwell for Europa!
I agree tons of talent waiting in wings Lundstram, Green, Ledson, Browning, Kenny, Long & Hope to name a few! Forgot the Conor lads, that’s 9!! Don’t think we’d get Snodgrass but just the player we need, Colback is good but Sidwell isn’t good enough!
