Everton set for first signing of the window and it’s not Aiden McGeady
Everton are set to sign their first signing of the window according to the Daily Record with the £750k signing off Dundee United left-back Andrew Robertson.
The Scottish defender, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise up Scottish football will sign for Everton and then head back to Dundee United on loan for the rest of the season.
The 19 year old has enjoyed very quick success and was playing amateur football last season in Scottish footballs lowest tier with Queens Park.
Everton are also interested in team-mates John Souttar and Ryan Gauld but chief scout Kevin Reeves has identified Robertson as a potential replacement for Leighton Baines as the England man is out of contract in 18 months and Manchester United are still sniffing around.
