    Everton set to launch £5m bid for highly-rated defender

    Everton could be set to finally launch a move for highly rated Charlton Athletic youngster Ezri Konsa according to the Daily Mirror.

    The 20 year old centre-back has been linked with a move to Goodison Park for well over a year and following Charltons failed bid for promotion to the championship the youngster could now move.

    Brighton and Hove Albion are also being linked with a move for the defender who has 2 years left on his current contract.

    Everton are looking for long term replacements for Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams who are both in the twilights of their career.
