Everton set to seal double swoop for highly rated teenage sensations Andrew Robertson and John Souttar
Everton are set for a double deal for highly rated Dundee United sensations Andrew Robertson and John Souttar according to Alan Nixon in the Mirror.
Everton scouts had been watching centre-back John Souttar and his midfield team mate Ryan Gauld who has just signed a new contract, but left-back Andrew Robertson has also caught the eye of Everton boss Roberto Martinez according to Nixon.
Likened to Baines, Robertson has been impressing in Scotland with a number of quality performances and although he would be unlikely to set into Leighton Baines boots straight away, Martinez fancies the 19 year old will eventually fill the slot should Baines move on.
Souttar is one of the highest rated players in Scotland and moves by Liverpool, Arsenal and West Ham have been muted, but Martinez is keen to move quickly for the player and a double or triple swoop could be imminent.
