    Everton slammed after bid for star striker

    Everton have launched a raid on Sporting Lisbon for star striker Islam Slimani according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, but Lisbon have hit back and declared the bid “ridiculous”.

    The report claims that Everton and West Bromwich Albion have both made moves for the 28 year old Algerian star, but both offers are well below the clubs asking price.

    According to the report, Slimani will only leave Sporting if his €30m asking price is met and the rumour is that the bids were well below this.

    Everton are looking for more striking options as they go into their debut season under Ronald Koeman.
