    Everton target French defender

    Everton are set to target French defender Thomas Heurtaux according to Italian media outlet Gazzetta TV.

    The 27 year old currently plays for Udinese in Serie A and Everton are still desperately trying to fill the void left by the departures of Sylvain Distin and Antolin Alcaraz on free transfers.

    The defender has also been linked to a move to Watford who are owned by the same family that owns Udinese – The Pozzo family.

    The centre-back has been a consistent performer for Udinese this season and could be a bargain if Everton could sign him.
