    Everton targeting 6ft 8 International Powerhouse Striker

    Everton are interested in signing giant Ivory Coast striker Lacina Traore from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.

    The striker who stands 6ft 8in was only signed by the big spending Russian club 18 months ago for a fee of around £15m, but club president Konstantin Remchukov has slashed the clubs budget and this lead to a player firesale including Willian and Samuel Eto’o to Chelsea and a number of other players leaving the club and this could see the striker leave the club for a lower fee.

    His agent Dmitry Selyuk said: ‘If a good offer arrives that suits us then Lacina is free to leave in January.

    Traore has scored 13 goals in his last 27 games for Anzhi and had been linked with Arsenal in the past.  He is expected to be able to leave for around half of the £15m he was bought for.
