    Everton to battle Manchester United for teenage sensation

    Everton are set to go head to head with Manchester United for Wigan Athletics teenage sensation Joe Gelhardt according to ESPN.

    The 16 year old has already been playing for Wigans Under 18 team for a year and has represented England at u15 and u16 level.

    Gelhardt impressed for England at the Montaigu Tournament in France in April, scoring two goals in four appearances to help England finish third in the competition.

    Wigan are keen to keep hold of the striker, but the Premier League clubs are looking to test their resolve.
