    Everton to move for 23 year old Italian attacking midfielder

    Everton manager Roberto Martinez is said to be interested in Empoli attacking midfielder Riccardo Saponara according to a number of Italian news outlets including CalcioMercato.

    The 23 year old Italian has been in sparkling form for the last year and can play as a number 10 or on the wing and is said to be on the January wish list of the Catalan.

    Napoli made a move for the midfielder in the summer, but their advances were turned down and now Everton could move into pole position.

    Everton are set to bid £4.5m for the player.
