Everton to move for Steven Defour
Portuguese press are linking Everton with a move for Belgium midfielder Steven Defour who has been told he won’t be part of the Porto squad next season.
Talented Defour has seen his career slide since moving to Portugal and could see a move to Everton as a way to rekindle his professional career according to Portuguese Newspaper Correio da Manha.
Liverpool and Lokomotiv Moscow are also being linked with Defour who is part of the30 man Belgium World cup squad, despite not playing all that often since his move from Standard Liege in 2011.
The 26 year old midfielder has scored 3 goals in only 41 starts for the Portuguese. Defour has a release clause of €50m although a much lower bid would likely see him leave Porto.
