Everton want Argentine signing 5 years too late
Everton are once again chasing Argentine midfielder Ever Banega 5 years after his mysterious move fell through after the club reportedly went for a work permit, despite denials from his team.
The Shields Gazette has said that Everton are in a battle with Sunderland and Manchester United for the talented midfielder. Benega had played 136 times for Valencia scoring 9 times, but was loaned out to Newell Old Boys last season and his time in Spain looks to be coming to an end.
Benega is still only 25 years old despite being on the Goodison Park radar for so long and would be seen as the perfect player to replace Gareth Barry should the experienced English midfielder opt to play somewhere else next season.
