Everton club officials have been in contact with Italian side Lazio regarding a move for Nigeria international midfielder Ogenyi “Eddy” Onazi according to Mercato. The 20 year old has been capped by his country 9 times.
With the news that Everton look set to lose their star man Marouane Fellaini this summer, the club have been busy scouring Europe for a replacement. Onazi is on the fringes of the Lazio first team and is believed to be getting frustrated at his lack of first team opportunity.
Lazio have quoted Everton an asking price of 5.5 million Euros for the player, and Everton club officials are said to be waiting until the end of the season to decide whether or not to complete a move for the talented youngster.
