    Everton watching England under 17 star

    Everton are being linked with a move for England under 17 star Joe Gomez reports South London Today.

    The 17 year old Charlton player was one of the stand out players at this years U17 European Championship in Malta which England won and this brought attention from Everton and Newcastle.

    Charlton Athletic are keen to tie the defender, likened to Rio Ferdinand to a new contract for fear of losing him.

    Gomez is hoping for a first team place in the Charlton team this year and is training with the first team in pre-season.
